  1. Dell Perc 6i Driver Windows 2003
  2. Dell Perc 6/i Driver Windows 7
  3. Dell Perc 6/i Windows Driver
  4. Dell Perc 6 I Driver Windows Server 2008 R2
  5. Dell Perc 6i Driver Windows Server 2008 R2

Apr 25, 2015  Hi, I'm trying to upgrade from windows server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2012 R2 (64Bit) on a DELL 720r. When the upgrade starts (Boot from media or run setup from the server 2012 R2 media) I get the prompt to provide the mass storage device drivers. Hi, I'm attempting to install Windows server 2008 R2 x64 on a poweredge 2970 server that has a perc 6/i raid controller. I configured the raid but when attempting to install Windows it says it can't find any drives to install to.

With the Windows Server 2016 release, the Dell EMC systems are shipped with a multilingual operating system interface that provides a list of supported languages. When you power on your system for the first time or reinstall the operating system using a Dell EMC provided. Windows driver installation Before you install the Windows driver for PERC 9, you must first create a device driver media. Read the Microsoft Getting Started document that shipped with your operating system. Ensure that your system has the latest BIOS, firmware, and driver updates.

We work in an environment with machines running mostly CentOS 7.3 but from times to times we need to switch to Windows 10.

To manage those changes, we have a PXE boot solution with tree options:

Dell Perc 6i Driver Windows 2003

  1. boot currently locally installed OS
  2. reinstall CentOS (minimal OS with SaltStack recipe)
  3. reinstall Windows 10 (restore a clone of a Windows 10 disk image with clonezilla)

The issue we're facing is that Windows 10 doesn't support the Raid Controller PERC H310. So basically, when restoring the Windows image, we can't boot on it because Windows doesn't find the drives. Same issue when trying a clean install, Windows doesn't find any local disk.

I've tested every solution I've found like testing with previous version driver during Windows install.. doesn't help so far.

Also, I'm sure of the issue since when attaching the drive directly to the motherboard (so skipping the raid controller) it works.

Any suggested solutions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: a new version of Windows 10 Pro for Workstations could maybe help you out this fall too if you can wait.

Windows 10 Pro for Workstations is a high-end edition of Windows 10 Pro, comes with unique support for server grade PC hardware and is designed to meet demanding needs of mission critical and compute intensive workloads.

  • Expanded hardware support

You will need to preinstall the driver to make it work (slipstream) or to give the setup the driver.

The easiest way, in the setup, some other forum give that file to get to give the setup the driver

and copy those folder to an USB stick and you will be ready to install

Ran into the dreaded H310 vs Win10 issue during an upgrade from win7.I know this post is old, but this may save some one a lot of time!!!

THERE IS NO DRIVER!

.. a day of my life looking and trying every driver out there..

disable the onboard RAID controller from system bios.Installed LSI 9211-8i card(about $100) and reroute the HDD cage's cable to the new card.move the boot drive to one of the sata ports (was being used by DVD drive)Boot to win7 and allowed it to install the driver for the new card.Moved boot drive back to HDD cage and ran the windows 10 upgrade successfully!

Notes: system bios to A16, LSI card flash was 20.x.x.xIR. the 9211 has the correct SFF-8087 mini-SAS connector that matches up with Dell's hot swap cage. There is an IT flash for the 9211 if you wanna skip the boot delay and have no need for RAID.

Hope this helps

According to Dell's own website, the Windows Server 2012 media driver 'inbox' does not contain drivers for the Perc S100 controller that is in a Dell PowerEdge T110 II server we'd like to evaluate with Server 2012.

Driver

I have found drivers only for Server 2008 R2, which is what the server is currently running. Is it possible to upgrade this server? (Booting up the Server 2012 DVD image leads to the expected result that it can not locate the system's hard drives or its hard drive controller card, as the drivers for the PERC S100 are not on the installation DVD image.)

You have two choices: Yandex app store download.

Dell Perc 6/i Driver Windows 7

  1. Wait for Dell to support it.

  2. Try the Server 2008 R2 drivers. They will probably work, though this is probably vendor-unsupported.

I currently have Server 2012 running on a Dell T110 (the original, not the II) using the S100 Raid Controller. I used the drivers from S2008.

DELL_MULTI-DEVICE_A05_R294489.exe is the name of the file that worked for me.

I downloaded the 2008 version from here at dell http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER00414894M/1/SAS-RAID_Driver_W3N37_WN32_2.0.0.0162_A05.EXE

NOTE: rename the exe to zip to open it up so the installer wont run.

You have to browse through a few of the folders before windows picks it up. I also unselected the checkbox at the bottom where it asks for the drivers. I don't remember something about 'show compatable drivers', then it will list a dozen or so S100's, I selected the first one..and BAM it installed and working.

I also have the same server running the S110 controller with Windows 2012 Server in a production environment. It is also running Exchange Server 2010. We have had it running over a year with no compatibility issues or problems at all. We used the Server 2008 driver mentioned above.
