Im facing a issue when using excel as source in non-microsoft product. Its windows server 2003 sp2 (64 bit) enviroment. Only i need to create a DSN for excel, but i couldn't. Tthere is no excel driver listed in odbc driver list. Do i have to install 64 bit odbc driver for excel? In Excel 2010 and 2013, there are two methods of creating a connection to another workbook. The recommended method is to use Power Query, which is available if you download the Power Query add-in. If you can't download the Power Query add-in, you can use Microsoft Query.

5. In the Navigator pane, select the tables or queries that you want to connect to, then press Load or Edit.

For Excel 2007, you can use Microsoft Query to connect to ODBC data sources.

I am trying to get Excel 2016 (15.30, Office 365 subscription) to acces a filemaker database via ODBC, as a client.

The database seems to communicate via ODBC and iQueryODBC can see the tables and data in the Filemaker Database.

I can configure DSNs using Actual's ODBC manager (1.0.14), and these test OK.

When I try to establish a link between Excel and Filemaker via ODBC (Data / Get External Data / From Database) the iODBC chooser window opens but with no functionality - DSN connections cannot be tested (nothing happens) or configured, and clicking OK to advance to Query just brings me back to the Spreadsheet, with no data.

I suspect there is some confusion with the versions of the iODBC chooser that Excel is calling up, but I do not see how I can check to see that its 64 bit and, if its not, how I can force Excel to use a different Data Source Chooser that is 64 bit.
