I have not yet tested any mods, but as for directly launching Skyrim through Harbor (the Skyrim Together launcher), I can confirm that it does work perfectly fine and I was able to join my friends' games. Edit: I had no issue launching Harbor through Mod Organizer 2 and using mods; nothing crazy though just SkyUI, unofficial patch, Alternate Start, etc However if you launch Harbor and it says that the game isn't found you need to add it to your system's registry which is exactly what I had to do to get it working. The open-beta will be free for everyone hopefully within a couple of weeks.

Follow these steps and it should work just fine:

1. Open RegEdit.

6. Launch Harbor directly or through your mod manager, sign into Skyrim Together account and Play.

Keep in mind that you will need Skyrim Special Edition (489830) Support for the old vanilla version and Legendary Edition (oldrim) has basically been put on pause since there are too many bugs. If performance is a concern, rest assured that SSE can run even better than oldrim with mods or simply tweaking the INI configuration; BethINI is pretty cool for that. For step 3 you only need to add Steam App 489830 which is SSE. You would only need to add the other one if oldrim becomes supported once again in the future and you plan to use that instead of SSE.
